  • The remarkably authentic Cherche-Midi A apartment has been restored with its original details, located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in the 6th arrondissement. Sleeping up to four, this one-bedroom apartment guarantees a memorable experience during your holiday in Paris.


    This immaculately restored apartment is situated on the first floor and has a secure entrance. A cobblestone courtyard buffers the street sounds, while the garden courtyard provides a cool retreat in the summer. Built just after the French Revolution in the 1790's, the building's thick walls, high ceilings, and tall windows are distinctive of the Directory period. The apartment features gorgeous period accents and furnishing throughout the interior.


    In the living room, the finely crafted, hand painted Louis XVI style wood paneling and cabinetry were inspired by historical examples in Paris' museums. It has a comfortable sofa, armchairs, a desk by large window, and a classy fireplace with bookshelves. The classic bedroom features a double bed and the detailed woodwork on the wall discretely conceals a Murphy bed that serves as a backup for visitors. The rustic, authentic kitchen is small but has everything needed for a self-catered holiday. It boasts handmade wall tiles and the original 18th century fire back behind the stove. The bathroom includes a relaxing bathtub, perfect for taking a break after a day of exploring the sights and sounds of Paris. Bed linen and towels are provided for added convenience.

Home to a number of famous cafés including Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, which have a strong historical legacy as landmarks of the city’s intellectual and literary culture, such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, today the area is still a sought-after destination for locals and tourists alike. The Saint-Sulpice and Sèvres-Babylone Metro Stations are near the apartment, enabling easy access to the rest of Paris using the city’s efficient public transport system.


    The centrally located and affluent 6th arrondissement is situated on the left bank of the River Seine includes a number of famous educational institutions as well as famous monuments, including the Saint-Germain Abbey, founded in the 6th century, and the beautiful Luxembourg Palace and Gardens. The apartment is also a 5-minute walk from the most famous department store in Paris, Le Bon Marché.
